White Linen Runner with Drawn-Work and Embroidery

Dating from the 1920's, this pure white linen table scarf is elegantly hand-worked by drawing the threads and embroidering around the openings. Untold hours were spent creating this piece. It is probably Chinese and made for export. It copies the fine European work of the nineteenth century and is of fine quality itself. It measures 14" X 32" and is in perfect condition. It has been washed, starched, and ironed and is ready to lay across your sideboard or chest of drawers.
