This lovely mesh purse has a hollow, repousse floral design on the frame, dating it from around 1900. The purse is 6" long and 4 1/2" wide with a 5" belt chain. It was designed to be held to one's belt with a belt clip. The chain is sterling silver as well as the frame, but the mesh, a slightly different color than the frame, is possibly not silver. The purse is in perfect condition. It is marked "Sterling W & D" on the inside of the frame. One side features an old-fashioned monogram "JMS."

This glitzy little handbag is in really excellent condition and features a scalloped frame in a bright, polished chrome. The mesh is also a polished chrome or rhodium. There is an 8" chrome chain attached. The Whiting & Davis logo and "made in the USA" are embossed inside on the frame, along with the number 2957. Marked on the inside of the frame "Made in Germany," this Dresden Mesh purse is an older one, dating from around 1900. The bag is 4 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" long; the handle is 12" long. The German Silver (white metal) frame is delicately painted in red and white; it is meant to look like enamel. The bag is in excellent condition with bright coloration and no damage to the mesh, fringe, or frame; only the lining is missing.

This really fun little 1950's handbag is made of pink leather (or possibly vinyl). The frame is brass with a lacquer that is a bit worn (this is the only damage). The clasp and 12" celluloid chain are amber-colored; the clasp is the color called "root beer." The inside of this purse is a navy blue rayon moire. This very fun box purse is made of bamboo-veneer plywood and woven plastic cane. It is lined with brown fabric and still has its "Made in Hong Kong" label. it dates from the 1970's. The lid is decorated with colorful plastic pears, cherries, and foliage. The purse, measuring 7 1/2" X 4" X 8 1/2" high (including the wrapped handle), is in excellent condition with no visible wear or damage.

This 1930's ladies purse is heavy hand-crocheted black rayon twill thread. The little bag is in perfect condition. The frame is black plastic with an Art Deco design and a hinged clasp. The black plastic chain is 11" long. The inside is black rayon moire, hand-stitched to the frame. The frame is marked "Made in U.S.A." The purse is 8" high and 11" wide.
