This beautiful old match safe is in really excellent condition with no scratches, dents, or other signs of ill-use. It is of good weight, 1.165 oz., and of excellent workmanship. The Watrous Mfg. co. mark of W and a sickle are found on the inside of the rim. It measures 2 5/8" X 1 3/4" X 1/2" thick. There is a decorative monogram, "WC," on the front. This safe has the striking surfaces on the bottom; it is not a re-cast. It is over 100 years old.

Made in Chicago during the early twentieth century, this lovely hammered sterling silver bowl is by Kalo Silversmiths. The Kalo Shop in downtown Chicago is still remembered fondly for its fine quality, elegant sterling silver made on the premises. This bowl weighs 10.14 oz. It has a rim that reinforces the edge. The bowl is 7" in diameter and 2" high. It is in excellent condition; a few tiny scratches inside testify to its age.

This pretty little nut dish from the Gorham Company of Smithfield, Rhode Island is repousse work in a flowing floral motif. The design is reminiscent of Art Nouveau and dates from the early twentieth century. It measures 5 1/4" X 3 3/4" X 3/4" deep. The Gorham hallmark is on one side, along with "sterling" and the numbers "A2679." The little dish is in excellent condition with only a few tiny dents in the bottom and no scratches at all.

This lovely little nut dish is marked "sterling" on the bottom, dating it after 1892. The design is actually early Art Nouveau with its naturalistic flowers in repousse work. The workmanship is exquisite on this ornate piece. The other markings include an impressed cross, a maker's mark. The origin is a mystery, but it is probably American. The little bowl is 5 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/4" deep. There are some faint scratches on the inside; otherwise, the bowl is in perfect condition.

This ladle weighs 1.5 oz. and feels quite substantial. It is 6" long and 2 1/4" wide; it is perfect for gravy. The ladle is in excellent condition with little sign of any wear. There are monogrammed initials, "F I K" on the handle; the letters are gothic in style and rather ornate.
