This very fun serving piece is in the shape of an ear of sweet corn. It is 11 1/2" long, 5 1/2" wide, and 5 1/2" tall. It is made of glazed pottery. The piece is in perfect condition. It dates from the 1950s; wear on the bottom testifies to age. The marks on the bottom are "Shawnee USA #74."

These fun salt and pepper shakers are not marked but are probably Shawnee pottery from the 1950's. They match other Shawnee pieces in every respect. Each shaker is 5 1/4" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter. One shaker has four holes in the top; the other, five. There are openings in the bottom for filling; one still has its cork. The shakers are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks. stains, crazing, or other damage.

These fun pottery pieces date from the 1950's. Here in the Corn Belt (Illinois), corn pottery is avidly collected. These pieces are a set, both marked "Shawnee" on the bottom. The sugar is in perfect condition; the creamer has one tiny glaze chip (see photograph). The creamer is 5" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter; the creamer is 5" tall and 5" wide at the widest.
