This nineteenth-century flow blue plate from William Adams and Co., England is in the Oriental-looking "Fairy Villas" pattern. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. There are knife marks on the surface; this plate was used at some point in its life. It measures 9" in diameter and is 3/4" thick. The particular mark used dates it as after 1891.

There is no company name on the back of this beautiful bowl, but the Beehive and Urn mark is from Ridgways, a well-known English pottery, and dates from between 1891 and 1920. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. It does have a few knife marks inside, but they are minor. The bowl is 9 3/4" in diameter and 1 3/4" deep. This bowl is lovely displayed on a bowl stand.

This ca. 1900 butter pat is porcelain and in excellent condition with no stains, cracks, chips, etc. It has a very blurry blue design with a pretty raised decoration in the porcelain. There is a gold rim. This pat is marked "England" on the back but the maker and pattern are unidentified. It measures 3 1/4" in diameter and is 5/8" deep.

This ca. 1900 English flow blue butter pat is porcelain and in excellent condition with its gold decoration intact. The blue is very dark. The pattern and maker are unidentified, although this is an English piece. It measures 3" in diameter and is 1/2" deep.

This semi-porcelain pottery covered vegetable bowl dates from between 1912 and 1923. It has no marks, but matches item #A-122, whose mark is from T. Rathbone and Co., Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. I have not yet identified the pattern. The design is a transfer underglaze in a rich, deep blue with gold accents. The gold is a bit worn. Both the lid and base are in excellent condition with no chips, scratches, hairlines, stains, or other damage. The bowl is 11" long, 8" wide, and 6" high.

This ceramic biscuit jar (or cracker jar to us Americans) is pottery and slightly crazed. The glaze is shiny, the gold design a transfer, and the color hand-applied. The design of a lady gathering flowers is on two sides of the jar; two sides have flowers and a birdbath. The gold is slightly worn around the top of the jar. This flat cake plate measures 11" in diameter and has a slightly raised rim. The pretty chintz floral design of purple, fuchsia, and white hydrangeas and green and brown foliage on a yellow ground is bit worn from use. The green edging is also a bit worn. This plate is older; the company, Barker Brothers, Ltd. of England, used this mark between 1937 and 1959. The pattern is from a group called "Royal Tudor Ware." The plate has no chips, cracks, pits, or stains, only signs of loving use.
