This beautiful old porcelain bowl measures 7 1/2" in diameter and is 3" tall. It has hand-painted poppies in red, white, and yellow inside. The flowers, buds, and foliage are well-depicted, but the bowl is not signed. It was probably decorated by a gifted amateur artist, possibly a lady. There is lavish gold decoration on the rim and on the outside. The bowl is in perfect condition. It came from a Chicago area estate. The Noritake mark indicates Japanese manufacture after 1911.
