This porcelain butter pat is prettily decorated with a pink and green rose design. It has a stylish Arts and Crafts border, which looks to be hand-painted, although the rose design is a transfer. The rim is trimmed with gold. The mark indicates a date of 1904-1925. The pat measures 3 1/8" in diameter and is 1/2" deep. It is in perfect condition.

This lovely footed porcelain fruit bowl is 10" in diameter and 4 1/2" tall. It is decorated inside and out with blackberries, both ripe and unripe, and with blackberry flowers and foliage. There is lavish gold trim around the flared rim. The bowl is signed "S. Vichy." The marks indicate Italy as the country of origin; it is a Ginori studio piece. The bowl probably dates between 1890 and 1930 and is in perfect condition.

This very pretty plate with pink asters was signed by the painter; the plate was recently purchased from the estate of the artist's daughter in law. The maker was Lydia Bartels Kemnitz of Chicago, Illinois. The plate, Haviland china from Limoges, France, was manufactured between 1893 and 1930. The decorating was done around 1920. This plate is in perfect condition. It measures 8 1/2" in diameter.

This elegant little vase is sculptured with a fan design and the lip is serrated. The lip is trimmed with gold. The material is porcelain; the vase is somewhat transparent to light. This lovely baroque porcelain covered dish dates from between 1895 and 1917. The maker was Carlsbad of Austria; it was brought into the U.S. by Lewis Strauss & Sons, Importer. The subtle floral decoration and delicate gold work are hand- painted. This pretty piece is in wonderful condition. It measures 11" long, 7 1/4" wide, and 5" tall.

This charming product of a talented lady's hobby dates from between 1892 and 1907. It is signed "Freiberg." The mark on the bottom, T. & V. Limoges, is that of Tressemann and Vogt, Limoges, France. The pitcher was possibly factory decorated but was more likely an American lady's amateur effort. The decoration, full-blown tulips, is artistically done and lavishly trimmed with gold. The pitcher, in perfect condition, measures 6 1/2" high at the lip and is 5" in diameter, not including the handle.
