This rascally and charming little boy has found the inkpot and smeared himself well! The bisque figurine is a German correct circa 1890s and in near-mint condition (one tiny finger restored, only visible with a magnifier). He is expertly painted with blue eyes, red & black lid lines, tan brows, rosy cheeks and somewhat smirk-y closed mouth – he's quite proud of himself. Molded short boy-cut hair is dark blonde and there are tiny 'ink' handprints and smudges painted on his body & face, fully 'inked' hands and a nearly empty inkpot with 'ink' spilled over the rim. Sitting with the inkpot between his knees & feet, the figurine measures 3" tall, 2.75" long and 2" from foot-to-foot (no, he's not anatomically correct). This would be really cute with toothpicks or pen nibs inside!
