This beautiful Sterling Silver Tea Set is certainly one of Georg Jensen's Designs but, La Paglia worked for Georg Jensen and also produced this design. I was told the mark of Sterling 950 is from Denmark. Those of you that are familiar with this design and markings will know for sure. There is some wear on the bottom of the try that doesn't really show but, does tell you that this set has been around a long time. There is one very small chip on the top rim of the wooden handle of the Coffee pot that we will show in the photo. This is an amazingly beautiful set with abundant charm. Everything is very heavy and sturdy plus feels good to the grip and is a joy to look at. All pieces are marked Sterling 950. The 950 means the silver is 950% pure silver. The sizes are as follows. Tray.......... 27" long 16-1/4" wide with the inside display space being 19" long and 13" wide. Just look at the handles on the tray. WOW Coffee Pot....10-1/4" tall 9" spout to handle with a 15-1/2" circumference Tea Pot......8-1/2" tall 9-1/2" spout to handle with a 17" circumference (very cute and fat) Sugar Bowl with lid.....5-1/2" tall 4" wide with a 12" circumference Creamer is 5-1/4" tall to top of handle and 5-1/4" spout to handle with a 10-1/2" circumference A special bonus is the original sugar tongs also with the same markings as everything else of Sterling 950 This is a very special set for a discerning collector.
