Made for the pond or bathtub armada, this pressed tin American believe to be Ives Ocean Liner, circa 1910, is incredibly well made, in excellent condition, with most of its original paint (very tiny bits of rust at small areas of paint wear, from its travels through time). The ship measures 10" long, 5.75" high and 2" wide. Tight metal seams and fine, neat welding distinguishes this ship as factory-made. The whole ship is hand-painted with 3 smokestacks striped with ochre, blue & red, white upper decks with pierced windows, grey main deck, ochre rail, 4 tiny black portholes on each side, black waterline and red hull. Extra details include a tiny red Captain's deck, wire twist for rigging, spinning propeller, side-to-side working rudder, and four 'L'-shaped indents underneath. A 2" tin support was added at front to support the ship when on land. This is a fantastic toy!!
