Handmade in Germany, these little turned-wood figures and their pinewood vehicles are in excellent to mint condition. Their tiny metal wheels are solid and stained red – plus the vehicles are motor-driven not horse-drawn - date this set to between the wars, circa 1930. Very faintly stamped on the bottom of the pump truck: "Made in Germany". All three trucks measure 2.5" long x 1.25" wide x 1.25" high, their steering wheels are brass brads; the standing Firemen are 1.25" tall on round green bases.
