Handmade in Germany, these little turned-wood Station Master & Conductor, their colorful pinewood 4-car Train, working Crossing Gate and Station House are in excellent to mint condition. Tiny open metal wheels date this set circa 1910 or before. Stamped on the bottom of the train engine, cars, station house & crossing gate: "Thuringia". Specific details below: STEAM LOCOMOTIVE = 2.25" long x 1" wide x 1.5" tall PASSENGER CAR = 2"x 1"x 1.5"; stamped on doors "323" (missing back wheels) COAL CAR = 1.75"x 1"x 1"; stamped "R.R. // 1348" BOXCAR = 1.75"x 1"x 1.5"; stamped "R.R. // 1348" STATION HOUSE = 1.5"x 1.25"x 1.75"; stamped "Station" (paint rub on roof corner) CROSSING GATE = 3.25"x 1"x 1.25"; hinged to raise for traffic STATION MASTER & CONDUCTOR = 1.25" tall, with round green bases
