Mexico STERLING SILVER Pap Boat, hallmarked 1940s

This lovely sterling silver piece is strikingly smooth with a heavy base and capped hollow handle. In mint condition with no damage or repairs, there is no engraving or pattern. The piece measures: 5.5” front pouring spout to pouring lip/across from sides, 9” from end of handle to front, and 4” outside depth. Marks on bottom: “Sterling // Made In Mexico // 15 // .925” and a fancy “R” maker’s symbol. At one side, the pouring spout is encased with a teardrop-shaped channel so that the gravy or sauce pours out free of oils or fats that rise to the top. A fully useful and handsome piece, worthy of becoming a family heirloom.
