Here’s a darling cabinet-size girl, all-original in excellent condition, with no damage and no repairs. She has a perfect bisque head – incised “4”, with solid dome and cup saucer-type neck, on a five-piece composition body jointed at neck, shoulders and hips. Wide spiral amber glass eyes are set open and her wig is palest blonde mohair. Her painted features are artistically done with one-stroke brows, fine lashes, blushed cheeks and rosy closed mouth. Hands have separate thumbs while the legs have molded bootines with five straps heels, painted stockings to the knees with red garters. The lovely 1880s costume has a garnet silk faille blouse with box pleated front, high lace-covered collar, darker silk bows and puffed sleeves. Her striped silk brocade skirt has stitched-down tight pleats on the left and looser pleats on the right (some wear) and a sash with large flap bow over the right hip that matches the blouse. Underneath are a knit cotton undershirt, red flannel petticoat and lace-hemmed pantaloons. This is a wonderful all-original doll.
