Hollow-cast in bronze, this early 20th century Golden Retriever paperweight is very lifelike with good confirmation, and is in near-mint condition with no damages, no cracks and no repairs. He is a noble-looking dog with every wavy hair carved into the figure, which was cast using the lost-wax method. Golden Retriever measures 9.5” in length, 3.25” wide elbow-to-elbow, and 5” to the top of his (or her) head. There are no maker's marks, and the nose is rubbed shiny just as college president statue’s noses have been rubbed for centuries. Simply waiting to do his master’s will; he’s from an old Denver family, non-smoking home.
