An adorable little charmer, this is Armand Marseille Googly mold #210 registered in 1911. has perfect bisque with no damage and no repair, solid-dome head is incised “210 // A. 0 M. // Germany // D.R.G.M.” Right-glancing blue intaglio eyes have highlights and black lid-lines under dashed brown brows; plump cheeks are rosy and his gently smiling open-closed mouth has the lips parted with just the tongue tip showing. Molded hair is in a darling 1911 side-part boy’s style, painted light brown with a swirl on his forehead. The all-wooden body is jointed at neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and toddler slant-hips. In fact, the body is so fabulous and pose-able that it is almost a shame to cover it with clothes, but does come with a newer woven gingham play suit and black cotton knit socks.
