This wonderful hand made child's toy cradleboard is in excellent condition, made of soft doeskin over wood and soft stuffing, with graceful "paddle leaf" beaded design. We were given the information that this toy cradleboard was made by Santee Dakota Sioux from the western Great Lakes region; it is circa 1870s. Made by a superb craftsman and veneered in beautiful walnut, this small accent mirror has design characteristics in the Greek Revival style – with pedimented top and columnar shape.
