This is a hardcovered book with full color paper dustjacket inside original plastic cover and has 177 pages. It has nine stories of the pioneer West , stories of love and hate among plainsmen, trailbrekers, cattlemen and homesteaders in the deep west; stories about the men and women who rode its plains, tamed its forests, faced its dangers, and found love in the wilderness. This is the final collection of the best of the author's short stories. Published in Boston by Little, Brown and Company.

The cover was designed by Robert Condy and it is interesting to see how different the book covers were back then. This is an ex-library book and is stamped as such. The edges of the pages show aging in color. Stiff spine and tight pages - very good condition considering its age.
