Each of these six hand-painted porcelain ladies represent a different fashion era starting with 1890's through the 1940's and each thimble measures approximately 2 1/4" high and 1 1/4" wide .

The set of six fits onto its own peg holder mounted on a wooden shelf that has two metal hangers so you can either show it on a flat surface or mounted on the wall.

This vintage set looks very much like the one produced by Avon but in Bud Hastin's book it shows a set of eight thimbles so I am not sure if this set is made by Avon or not. It is in excellent condition with no boxes.
