ROTC - City College New York Silver Pendant & Chain - 1932

This ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) pendant has a story to it - it belonged to a friend's mother, who was given this by a beau in 1932 (before she met my friend's father). It is engraved "O.C. 1932". Her mom kept it all these years and now it needs to find a new home. It comes on a silver chain with a tab that reads "1/10 G.F." which I believe the pendant was put on back in 932.

NOTE: General Colin Powell, class of '58, was the first ROTC graduate named Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was a graduate of the City College of New York. The achievements of City College's graduates are unsurpassed by those of any other institution. Eight alumni have won the Nobel Prize, more than any other public college in the world.. Other noted graduate alumnus include: actor Edward G. Robinson '14; Dr. Jonas Salk '34; actor Eli Wallach '38; Mayor Ed Koch '45; actor Judd Hirsch '60; to name just a few.
