Dedicated to Finding Value as well as Beauty!
Submitted for your consideration is a set of four sterling footed salt dishes with removable cobalt blue glass inserts and salt spoons by William Adams. The Adams Company has produces silverware since the 19th century in both Sheffield and Birmingham, England. This set was produced in the latter site and the hallmarks date the works to 1940.
Please note what an elegant design is embodied in these little table accessories. The salts are footed and they are decorated with a floral motif. The inserts are solid cobalt blue glass and they are removable in order to facilitate cleaning. The spoons, three of which are hallmarked and the fourth that appears to be a replacement to the original neatly fit into the dishes and are small enough to control the application of this delicious spice. The pieces are in excellent condition with some minor wear related to their age, and they can be had for $850.00.
