Soon Moser became the proud possession of royalty, heads of state and well-known personalities throughout the world, an esteemed reputation that has held fast and continues to grow now in the 21st century.
This is a very special item that consists of two different portraits of an aristocratic couple in 18th century garb. The gentleman is standing on gold colored bricks, and is dressed in leggings, with a bright green jacket and a red a gold outfit. The lovely woman is also seen standing on the gold colored bricks in a pink and yellow gown. Each bowl measures 3.75” in diameter and the artwork utilizes an enameled beading technique. The pair is set onto a wooden frame that measures 16’ by 8”. The frame is ornately carved and the bowls are surrounded by light brown velvet.
The bowls are in excellent shape with no chips, cracks or hairlines and some minor loss of the gilt border paint. The frame is also in excellent shape, but the paper backing would have to be replaced as demonstrated in the photographs. We have seen individual pieces from this set command prices well in excess of $300 dollars, unframed. However, thanks to a wise purchase, we can offer this set of beautifully framed bowls for only $550.00.
