19th Century French Veyrat Footed Sterling Silver Sugar Bowl and Creamer

Submitted for your consideration is an exquisite antique covered sugar bowl and creamer set in sterling silver by Veyrat of Paris. Please note the elaborate ornamentation and design of these beautiful pieces. The sugar bowl is 8” high, and 7.5” wide. The creamer stands 5.75” in height. Together they contain 26 troy ounces of silver.

The sugar bowl has a floral motif knob to its well-designed lid. The handles are exceptional works of craftsmanship and the highly decorated feet provide this piece with a striking presence. The creamer’ design can best be described as elegant. Its flamboyant handle and wide spout, as well as its complementary design and identical feet to its sugar bowl mate would grace even the most chic dessert table.

The set is in remarkable shape for its age. The only flaw that I could detect is a slight hole on the lid of the bowl that can only be seen when the piece is examined closely with the lid open. Otherwise there are no dents, dings or scratches and the pieces have developed one of the loveliest patinas that we have seen. We can offer this exceptional set for $2450.00.
