Submitted for your consideration is an antique Victorian Bradley and Hubbard Marble Mantle Clock with an open escape movement. The partnership of Nathaniel and William L. Bradley, Walter Hubbard, and Orson and Chitten Hatch began in Meriden, Connecticut in1852 as Bradley, Hatch & Company. Clocks were the sole product of the newly formed company. By the 1890's, the Bradley and Hubbard name was synonymous with high quality and artistic merit. Their products were marketed not only in their own showrooms in New York, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia, but also by a force of salesmen traveling throughout the country and by the large retail firms of Marshall Field & Company, Sears and Roebuck & Company, and Montgomery Ward & Company.

Please note the majestic appearance of this 19th century clock. The rich, black marble is decorated with a gilt floral motif. This design is continues with the lovely brass flowers and rings that are affixed to either side of the clock. A brass finial and ornate brass feet complete the exquisite design of this wonderful work. The dial is surrounded with a gilt circle, there are large Roman Numerals on the clock’s face and the clock has a beautiful chime.

The clock measures 14.5” in height and is 10.5” long and 6” wide. It is in excellent condition with only minor indications of age related wear. We can offer this gorgeous clock from one of the most respected manufacturers of the 19th century for $850.00.
