Submitted for your consideration is a beautiful Empire Period Writing Table. Please note the exquisite detailing on this striking piece of mid-nineteenth century furniture. The table consists of two writing surfaces with two small draws under the higher surface, and one larger draw under the narrower area. The fancy turned hand carved legs represent craftsmanship at its best. The two decorative wooden posts that frame the two small drawers accent this carving. The hardware is in the form of flowers made of brass with a pull ring affixed to the center of each blossom.

The table is in very good condition for its age. There are a couple of small dings on the sides and one crack over one of the small drawers. I have attempted to show these flaws in the photos. Not only do these imperfections not detract from the overall effect of the appearance of this lovely work, they seem to add character to the piece. The table measures 40” in height, 38” in width and is 18” deep. We can offer this little bit of Americana for $1750.00.
