ITEM - Antique George & Martha Washington Calotype Photos Framed in Edwardian brass and velvet. I believe these are calotypes - they are on paper, not card, and the photos image shines like silver under bright light. Obviously, these photos are of the famous handpainted portraits of them. The photos themselves have been cut in the oval shape to fit into the frames. The frames are rather rudimentary - no glass is used. They are made of stamped brass and velvet, made in Germany. Each frame measures 4" X 5.5".

CONDITION - The photos are in average condition, each having a light water stain at the bottom. Frames are slightly bent here and there, but they could easily be straightened up if desired.
