Wonderful original painting by Sister Berta Hummel before she entered the convent. This is the fourth limited edition Christmas Plate, a typically tender subject of a Guardian Angel leading a trusting child is rendered in Sister Berta's famous palette of subtle colors.

This previously unpublished painting is reproduced here with the express permission of the late artist's mother and legal heir, Mrs. Viktoria Hummel. Painting is signed Hummel and measures 7 3/4 inches. Made in West Germany and distributed by Schmid Bros., 1973. Plate is in excellent condition and in original box.
