Adorable Mexican Sterling Snowman Brooch

This is one snowman that won't ever melt. Darn that Frosty the Snowman cartoon... it always made me so sad. This piece makes me happy, and it can make you happy too.

Great for the holidays, but even better, it's perfect for the entire Winter! Heck, wear it year round. Eventually, it will be back in season again. We have a wooden, hand painted decorative sign on a side door at our house. It has a snowman and red & green decorations and reads "Welcome Friends". It stays up year round. We forgot to take it down one year, and after that it never came down.

This vintage sterling pot-bellied snowman is curved from side to side so its middle sticks out... as it should. He measures 2 inches top to bottom and 1.5 inches side to side. He weighs a solid 10.7 grams... not a wimpy snowman. He is hallmarked simply MEXICO 925, so I'm not certain how old he is. I would predict that he is from the 1980's.

Now is the time to start picking your adornments for cooler weather. This vintage delight is just perfect.
