Sterling and Multi-Colored Rhinestone Brooch by Curtis Co.

I truly had sworn off of rhinestones in my store. But alas, I have been broken down by this beautiful sterling brooch by the Curtis Jewelry Mfg. Co. I was able to rationalize it by it being sterling...a trait I have mastered over the years, along with instant gratification. Anyone else out there in that club?

Anywho, this is a beautiful, feminine piece with a dozen bright and shiny rhinestones. It measures 1.2 inches in diameter, and the pin back and locking mechanism are in excellent condition. It is hallmarked with d next to ce (the c above the e), which is the Curtis hallmark. It is also marked STERLING.

The Curtis Company was founded in Providence, Rhode Island around 1950, and this piece is from the late 50's to early 60's.

A beautiful vintage piece, just like Grandma used to wear.
