Adorable Dog and Cat Pals Sterling Pin Vintage Jezlaine

This is one of the most delightful pieces I've come across. This sterling pin depicts a kitty and a doggie who are obviously best of friends. The dog is actually licking the cat! But kitty looks a little miffed. Perhaps the dog is just sticking his tongue in the cat's ear in the canine version of the wet willy.

Hard to believe? I've told a number of stories about my Mom's cat "Pretty Boy", but he is the most animal friendly cat I've ever seen. He literally "visits" his cat friends up and down the street. The boys 'hang out' until they get hungry.

Pretty Boy also likes dogs! When anyone is walking their dog down the street, he will go out and lay on his back at the end of the driveway and wait for the dog to come over to play with him. It's hysterical...and of course, by the time I get my camera, they are both on their way pretending it never happened.

This really fun pin, which dates to about 1979 has great detail. It is 1.2 inches high and 1.7 inches wide, and the pin and locking mechanism are in excellent working condition.

The back of the piece is signed JEZLAINE 925. This is a great vintage piece for the owner of the friendliest cat and/or dog around!
