Fri. Jan. 9, Ring in the New Year With a New Ring! Many Rings Being Added This Week!!
All six have the same design, a floral motif, which matches several other items in my shop. TAKE A LOOK!
Just think...A set of six sterling silver glasses, perfect for egg nog, or anything else you would want to use the sterling silver Mexican Ladle for...You can also add shot glasses, cordials and brandy snifters.
All of the glass in this set is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks were observed on any of them. The sterling could use a good polishing, but it too is in great condition. There is one glass where the pattern is worn down more than the others, and I have not included that glass in the total price. This glass is the one in the back right in photo #6.
The glasses appear to have been used, as the hallmarks on the bottom of each are very worn. They are marked MEXICO and the artist's initials JMC inside a HECHO EN MEXICO DF 925 circle. You may look at this hallmark and say, "how the heck can she tell that?" Well, honestly, it is because I have had items by this artist before and I can recognize the style of the C. It has a straight line, and the top and bottom of the C are curved to match the curve of the circle. The J is the same way...a straight line, then the bottom of the J curves upwards to match the curve of the circle. But please do note, that these marks are very worn.
Each glass weighs 6 ounces. They are 5 inches tall, just over 2.5 inches across the top, and 2 inches across the bottom.
I have only seen one other vintage glass of this size...it is also in my shop. I found it in a shop at the pyramids outside of Mexico City.
New versions of these glasses that are being much more mass produced can be found in Taxco for $300 each. Unbelievable! You can have all 6 of these for under $200.
Insurance is required.
