Ana Brilanti, Victoria, is one of Taxco, Mexico's most noted silversmiths. She is often remembered for her brilliant use of mixed metals, mostly sterling and copper, such as the mug offered here. The exterior of the mug and the handle are made from copper, while the picture, rim and interior of the mug are sterling.

This beautiful mug has a depiction of a matador with a bull in sterling. This raised sterling section is in 3 places around the mug. There are designs engraved behind and around the sterling section that provide the arena and complete the traditional Mexican scene.

This mug is 4.64 inches tall with a diameter of 2.9 inches. It is HEAVY, weighing 10.2 ounces (approximately 290 grams).

This wonderful Taxco collectible is hallmarked with Ana Brilanti's trademark VICTORIA, along with MEXICO TAXCO, COPPER, the scripted CONY, and the design number 267.
