Ana Brilanti, Victoria, is one of Taxco, Mexico's most noted silversmiths. She is often remembered for her brilliant use of mixed metals, mostly sterling and copper, such as the mug offered here. The exterior of the mug and the handle are made from copper, while the picture, rim and interior of the mug are sterling.

This beautiful mug has a depiction of a man out working the fields, most likely just outside of the city of Taxco. The engraving in the copper of the city with the mountains surrounding it closely resembles Taxco, which I was fortunate enough to visit earlier in the year. The sterling man and city pattern is repeated 3 times around the outside of the mug.

This mug is 4.64 inches tall with a diameter of 2.9 inches. It is HEAVY, weighing 10.2 ounces (approximately 290 grams).

This wonderful Taxco collectible is hallmarked with Ana Brilanti's trademark VICTORIA, along with MEXICO TAXCO, COPPER, the scripted CONY, and the design number 267.
