Fri. Jan. 9, Ring in the New Year With a New Ring! Many Rings Being Added This Week!!
I love to watch ballet and gaze in amazement at the talent in many of the kids. But my daughter and I also go to the big shows to watch the professional dancers, and we giggle at the male dancers because... well... ummm... because.... let's just say that that part of their costume... ummm... certainly would hide any possible shrinkage.
Okay, now about this gorgeous piece that serves as either a pendant or a brooch...It is in as close to mint condition as a vintage piece can be. The graceful dancer has been around almost 25 years and has been very well cared for. Oops, ended that sentence in a preposition.
This dancer is almost 3 inches tall (2.9 inches) and is 2.6 inches wide. There is great 3- dimensionality in this piece and the beautiful repousse provides a depth of 0.36 inches.
The hallmarks include STERLING 925 and the artist's registration number TS-01, the first silversmith to register in Taxco with the last name beginning in S. Oddly, the name of this person is a bit difficult to pin down, but certainly, this is a person who is an early riser...Type-A personality who has to be first in line.
Ever flown on SouthWest Airlines? I love SouthWest because I always end up in B or C boarding groups, and it is so much fun to watch the Type A folks who stayed up until midnight the night before just to be the first to get a boarding pass. So I digress.
This fabulous pin is the perfect gift for the dancer in your life.
