A beautiful curving, looping and swirling bracelet, this modernist design was created by Citlal Castillo, the niece of Antonio Castillo. Antonio was the founder of the very famous and influential Los Castillo enterprise in 1939.

This is one gorgeous bracelet, weighing 2 oz, and an outside length of 7 inches. There is an additional 0.5 inches of space that can be adjusted to be wider to slip on and then closed to suit your preference. The bracelet height, on average, is 1 inch. Some portions of the design are a bit more and others a bit less than an inch.

The design reminds me of the path that a butterfly takes when it flies around, making odd twists and turns in an effort to avoid a hungry bird. Perhaps someone should write music to go with this bracelet...you know...we've had the Flight of the Bumble Bee. What would the flight of the butterfly sound like?

This gorgeous bracelet is hallmarked as noted in Hougart's book on Mexican Silver Hallmarks with an oval design reading CITLAL CASTILLO at the top and bottom, and .925 MEX in the center.

This piece is in fabulous condition...bright shine, very few surface scratches...would make a great gift!
