BETO Signed Vintage Sterling Silver Bracelet Taxco Mexico

This is a gorgeous handcrafted, stylized swan bracelet by the Mexican silversmith BETO. Work by Beto has become highly collectible, and I've not seen another bracelet like this, or even similar to this one on the market.

The bracelet is in excellent condition, minor surface scratching, consistent with age. The locking mechanism is tight and secure, yet easy to operate. There are loops where a safety chain was once present. A new safety chain can be easily attached.

The bracelet measures 7.5 inches, the links are 0.7 inches high, and they have a nice thickness. This is a hefty piece, weighing 1.6 ounces, that's 45 grams.

Hallmarks, you ask? Well, there are many. First, there is 925 inside a BETO TAXCO GRO circle, a STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO circle, and the Eagle 22 symbol. Beto work has been seen with Eagle 1, 2, 3 and 22. He shared the Eagle 22 symbol with famous silversmiths such as Fred Davis, Bernice Goodspeed, Antonio Pineda and Sanborn's. So Eagle 22 had Beto in excellent company.

Beto clamper bracelets sell for between $250 and $400. This is not a clamper, but at the same time, appears to be a more difficult piece to find. Get it while it's hot!
