These were used to hold postage stamps in the late 1800's and attached to the ladies chatelaine that was worn most often on her waistband. Postage stamps began in 1847 so the need for something to hold them was born. They were handy organizers of the day.
34mm x 24mm x 7mm. or approx (1 3/8" x 1" x 1/4") Not polished.
