2 Hanging Planters with Cranes

These are very well made planters with hand decorated cranes on them. Each bird had an applied texture to it. Done in the style of Pate sur Pate where there is a build up of slip to make the bird feel more 3 dimensional. The wings of the large bird on the front has textured feathers. The ones on the back have slightly raised bodies and painted legs and beaks. Each one is sightly different.

These are both marked Made in Japan and they are from the 1950's. They are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 2 1/2". There are no breaks chips or repairs.
