Large Faceted Amethyst Glass Pendant

This is a brownish gray colored glass in a tear drop shape. It is mounted in silver that looks to be sterling and it does have a 3 digit number stamped on the loop, but I can't read it clearly. The first number looks like a 7 to me but that doesn't make sense for sterling. I don't see any wear on the edges that would indicate plating. 1" x 1 1/2".
