Antique Cherub Sterling Silver Brush

This is an exceptionally well made brush by the Mauser Mfg. Co. (1887-1903). The high embossing is clear and detailed with a cherub or angel in the clouds with rose garland and scrolls and swirls. There are white (cream colored) soft natural bristles that are still intact and secure.

I am not sure if this was a make-up or a lint brush, but I do believe someone used it for their make-up at one time since the bristles are lightly colored with a hint of pink.

It is 6" x 2" and the bristles are 1 3/4" tall. It is marked with on the rim with the Mauser Mfg. Co mark and Sterling 925 over 1000 Fine 15000. Mauser was in business 1887-1903.
