These are the handiest old scissors...and they still work nicely. One side of the handle says "Compliments of The Home Insurance Co. NY." The other side has a heavily embossed floral and leaf design. These are marked Sterling on the handles and Germany on the scissors. The blades appear to be steel and show some dark spots. These were made in the Philippines in the 1950's. They are solid mahogany and nicely carved. These are in very good condition - no chips or cracks. Since they are hand carved one is a little larger than the other, but alike in workmanship. The taller one is 6 3/4" to the tip of the ear. (6 3/4" x 5" x 2"). The other one is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 2"

From the Bambi movie we have the skunk figurine known as Flower. I believe he was made by American Pottery in the 1940's. He is 4 1/2" tall with his head shyly tilted to one side with a big adoring eye looking up. He is holding a flower - maybe a lily but it is a little hard to see - just a slight red color on it. No chips or cracks just some crazing on the glaze. There are no marks on this piece.

This purse is black crochet with steel beads. There are beads covering the bag and also the fringe. The pictures don't show the beads clearly, but they are consistent through out the bags. They each have a flap. The connecting cords also hold the purse closed. This a very well thought out design. Each purse is 2" x 2 1/2" closed. The overall length is 10". This is in excellent condition. No holes and all the beads appear to be there.

This is a fold out Valentine with the first layer - a boy holding flowers and "To my Valentine" on a heart with a little crepe paper puff at the base, behind that is a girl holding a heart "Valentine Greetings". The background is a Blooming Rose tree on a decorative pedestal with 2 peacocks. Each piece is die cut and each one says Germany on it. These are mostly blown glass ornaments, but there also are 2 old glass ornamental light bulbs. There is a horn 4 1/2" (no end or hook), a mandolin 3", coo-coo clock 3", Blue bell 2", lantern 3 1/4" and a bird with replaced tail and his legs need glued on 5 1/2" (with tail). The old bulbs do not work, but look nice hung as an ornament. One is a bell and the other a lantern 2 1/2". No chips or cracks on these...some normal paint wear, but not a lot.

This is a ladies compact from the British Overseas Airline Corp. probably from the 1950's. It has never been used and still has the original felt case for it. There are a couple moth holes in it, but the compact is still in excellent condition. The mirror has a couple very light clouds in it - not bad, just barely noticeable. Miss Wilde may have been an actress or singer from the early 20th century, but I have not been able to find much about her. This is a nice old poster size lithograph of her and it is in pretty good condition. There is on small tear on the right side- about 3/4" on the edge. This is a political Caricature of a statement, The Marquis of Salisbury. These were popular in the Vanity Fair Magazines each month during the mid 1800's. This is an ORIGINAL July 10, 1869 page and is guaranteed. The artist signature in the lower right is of artist Carlo Pellegrini who signed is work "Ape". It also comes with the page that explains this man's political stance for the times. Condition is very good...no tears or folds. The entire page measures 14" x 9 3/16"
