Early 20th C. Nicely hollowed nephrite jade with a very clever Buddha on one side, making use of natural inclusions in the jade to enhance etching depicting a censer with smoke. Very nicely detailed elephant on the reverse! This is a large snuff bottle measuring 3 1/8" to stopper top. The top is a particularly nice emerald mottled hardstone with a thick black glass bezel. Satiny feel and fine polish to the nephrite. Slight foot wear, no damage. Very good old bottle.
