Charming & Early 22" Covered Wagon China With Provenance

This is a marvelous shoulder head China with a sturdy cloth body, leather arms and stitched fingers. She has cornflower blue eyes and black molded covered wagon hairstyle. She has the white part down the middle of her hair, red line above eyelid, red dots in corner of her eyes and flawless glazed porcelain (aside from one beauty mark as seen in photo's). She is wearing a wool striped dress, silk apron with matching silk shawl and adorable red leather boots. She is this an exceptional and early china and she comes with history and PROVENANCE. I purchased her directly from the closing sale of the Merry Merritt Museum here in Pennsylvania and while in the museum she was in the company of dolls that charmed collectors and doll enthusiasts from all over the world for over 43 years. Not only is she a lovely and rare early German china, but she is a bit of Pennsylvania history which I am proud to say is my home state!
