Here is a fantastic Bakelite brooch! The oval shaped brooch has been carved to display scallops around the outside. The open ribbons encircle very finely carved "comb teeth". A round picture frame in the center has tiny glass inlay. If you look closely, you can see the outline of a flower basket with blossoms and foliage. A frame of tiny circles has been carved around it. On either side is a complimenting design of micro mosaic inlay. Every little glass shard and millifiore piece is present! The brooch measures 2 1/4" x 1 3/8". This is a really amazing piece. I've not seen one like it before!
