This is a wonderful example of Venetian "wedding cake" beads. The unusual black background color really sets off the shimmery swirls of adventurina and the applied "icings" in pink, blue and yellow. These cold glass beads look good enough to eat! Each 1/2" bead is capped with a filigree endcap and is separated from the next by small, smoke gray bi-cone beads. A trio of these gray bi-cones finishes the beads at each side of the clasp. The clasp is an old barrel type clasp. The choker measures 17". The matching clip-back earrings are slightly larger than the beads, measuring 3/4".The clip backs are signed Made Italy. This set is in excellent condition!
