Red Molded Glass Sash Pin

Wow! What an exceptional piece! This is a bright red and crystal sash pin. The two center tear shaped glass pieces are actually only one piece. There is an invisible connector beneath the bridge of crystal pave' set rhinestones. The molded glass section is flat backed and is foiled. Overall, the foil is in very good condition. Only when light is directly and purposely shown into the glass that one can see any detractions. These are not distracting in the least (or I would not offer this gem to you).

The center is surrounded by a band of crystal pave' set stones in a cast metal mount. Faceted red navettes form a frame with larger navettes at the ends. And finally, tiny crystal chatons dot the spaces between the navettes. The multi-faceted chatons and the crystal stones really make this sash pin dazzle! When you view stones with this depth, you see the illuminated facets that seem to light up from within. The brooch measures 2 3/4" x 1 3/4". The back shows the foiling on the stone backs and the C-clasp. There is also a small rectangular place where a designer would have put his mark. But, alas he didn't. The brooch / sash pin is in amazing condition!
