Japanese Majolica Hand Painted Tankard Pitcher Castle Scenery

This early 20th century piece is a beautiful example of Japanese Majolica. The scenery, color, raised surface effect and detailing all blend to tell a story. This pitcher shows three different medieval castle scenes surrounded with trees, countryside and vines.
This piece is in excellent condition. I find one small chip on the inside of the rim - this does not show to the outside.. There is slight crazing on this piece.
It is marked on the bottom with the logo and "Hand Painted Japan". This piece stands approximately 8 1/4" tall.
