This 1930's Depression Era "Walking" Doll was made by the WIlson Novelty Company. This doll is from the original owner's vintage doll collection. It is made of a cardboard cone body, round wooden head and a hand painted face. He has wooden walking legs, leather type "arms" and tail. He has a wooden cone nose. This Penguin is just too cute. He is painted with the black and white body. If he is set on an angled ramp, he will "walk".

He has a label on his front that reads "Souvenir/Stuttgart, Ark.". On the botton of his wooden feet is stamped the Wilson Novelty Company stamp. It reads "Made in U.S.A./Pat Pending..(the numbers are blurred and I cannot make them out).
