Vintage French "Flower Seller" Doll

This pretty doll is an International Costumed Doll from France. She is from the city of Nice in Provence. She is from the original owner's extensive doll collection.

This doll is in excellent condition. She stands about 7" in height and has "Made in France" stamped on her upper left thigh. She wears a straw bonnet with black ribbon trim There is colorful stitching on the brim to portray flowers. Her red and white stripe full skirt is trimmed with black ribbon around the lower hem of the skirt. She wears a black cotton bodice with a yellow shawl decorated with red flowers. Her black apron is trimmed in black lace. Around her neck is a cross necklace. She carries a large woven basket with flowers in it. It is held around her neck by a black strap.

This type of costumed doll from the Provence area of France is often referred to as the "Flower Seller" doll.
