German All Bisque Doll "Amelia Earhart" Flapper Aviator 3" Doll 1920's

This wonderful doll is truly a piece of history. She is a German aviator doll, all bisque, and was first made in the 1920's. She is from the original owners family.

She is all original. She is wearing an aviator jumpsuit, complete with molded aviator helmet and goggles. Her jumpsuit is a stiff molded fabric. She is wearing painted black high heeled slippers. Her face is hand painted with dark eyes, and closed mouth.

These dolls were referred to as Flapper Dolls. They are also sometimes called Amelia Earhart Dolls. They are a very detailed miniature doll. She stands approximately 3" tall.

This doll is in excellent condition. She has been very well taken care of. She has had one owner - an avid doll collector.

I find only normal aging on this doll. The back of her helmet has what looks like "SK" written in pencil. That is the only marking I can find on her.
